Muju Ski

The Biological Sciences department in KAIST has this annual event that welcomes the new graduate students. This time they went to Muju ski resort. So we conveniently tagged along, to get the chance to ski. Accomodation and food are provided. Skiing equipments are available at cheap rates.
This is the resort we stayed in. It is apartment style. They also have hotels, which is where we had the conference.
This is the skiing ground. They have different slopes catered for different levels of skiiers. The one in this picture is actually the intermediate.
We went out during the conference to explore the place. The conference was not only boring, it was all in Korean. So we just left and try to find some other activities to do.
The conference was for the whole afternoon till night. So after dinner, we went exploring again. It is really beautiful during the night with all the lights. And that night it was snowing, real snow. Because Daejeon (where KAIST is) hardly snows, even if it snows is like, icing.
We were wondering around and looking for a place to drink something and have cake. And we found this shop. We went in, and up and up till the third floor, and we realised this is where they filmed Summer Scent! Yup, this is the "proposal room", where the guy proposed to the girl. I didn't really watch the show, but I remembered the girl decorating the whole ceiling with yellow roses.
In my memory, the room looks much bigger. Don't be fooled, the room is actually very small. And the roses you see here are fake. But I think in the show they are real. It is a really pretty room.
The second day we went skiing for like half the day. Then we had this "banquet" for dinner. Just a fanciful buffet. And after that, they had some recreation games, which we cannot understand most of the time, but it was pretty interesting.
