Dad wanted to go for dim sum breakfast. At first we wanted to go to Dragongate, but only realised it opens at 10+ upon reaching there. There we went to Mirama Hotel, same thing. Finally we settle at Red Star which was nearby.
On the way there on AYE, there was this car in front of me and a taxi behind me in the middle lane. As the car in front was slow, the taxi and me simultaneously lane change to the right. This taxi uncle was poking my backside, making me damm pissed. So I purposely slowed down, driving beside the car that was used to be in front of me. So he couldn't go any faster.
Eventually I drove pass the car, so the taxi lane changed to cut me. Before he could finish cutting into my lane, I lane changed again. Playing with taxi uncle never fails to be boring. Well of course, there must be ample space and right opportunity to attempt this. Sense of satisfaction.
*Note: Boys and girls, please do not attempt to do this stunt, 姐姐 got trained before.
(kekekeke, muahahahahaA~)Upon reaching the carpark, I saw 4 cars - 2 mercs, 1 volvo, the other one I forgot, could be another merc - were parked side by side. All the car have same car plate number, 2222. On the volvo, there was a very interesting thing. The headlights have their own mini-wipers, haA~. That is quite cool.
Anyway, back to the dimsum. The place is very traditional. Typical old restaurants, not too bad if you like the ambience. Dim sums are served on pushcarts. Overall, the food is over rated. The dim sums were not very fantastic, my mum says the standard is no longer the same as last time. But there are a few items that is simply delicious. Price wise, is okay, not very expensive.

The century egg porridge is super tasty. Inside still have dried oysters. Though there is little century egg bits, the taste of the porridge is just right.
The shiu mai is different from what you get nowadays. The ones nowadays are filled with big bouncy prawns, but this one is a very traditional taste of shiu mai. It is filled with fragance and taste of mushrooms. It has been quite some time I have tasted such old flavour. I love both kinds of shiu mai. My mum was amazed at how much shiu mai I can eat. It is my favourite dim sum! The har gao was really average.
The chee cheong fun was good. Not the thinnest I have ever eaten, but at least it is smooth and good enough. The filling was char siew, which I don't really like in the first place. But it is still delicious.
