Though she is a material girl, she is also a plain jane. She may be a party animal. But all she wants, is to be loved and cared.
I really love the book, although I am only halfway through it. Actually, I think I have alot in common with the girl, in terms of her thinking. Stubborn on the outside, soft on the inside, refuses to tell how much you love the other. Well, it is freaky, because her thoughts are exactly mine, and what I would say in my head. But perhaps she is luckier, she found the man who is willing to speak out exactly what she wants. If only my boyfriend/husband can know what I am thinking... But it is all fictional.
Anyway, talking about not having any kids, I don't think I want kids either. But if it comes, I am only willing to have at most 2 kids. Why don't I want kids? You go outside and look at the number of spoilt brats, playing and shouting in the public like nobody's business. If my kids are going to behave like monkeys, I rather not have any.
It is also mentioned in the book that "...way more selfish is having a child when you're not fully committed...", which I think is totally true. If you do not have the time to take care of your kids, if you are not willing to sacrifice your career for your kids, then don't have kids for the sake of having one. It is very irresponsible to your kid. Perhaps that is the reason why there are so many brats out there.
