Though she is a material girl, she is also a plain jane. She may be a party animal. But all she wants, is to be loved and cared.
Well anyway, terrific place. Wonderful scenery. The sand and the sea. Wait till you see the pictures (please wait patiently, we have about 2 gb of photos and videos).
One thing that crossed my mind there was that it doesn't look as if it has been struck by a tsunami before. I cannot imagine what was is like before the tsunami. Was the buildings more or less the same? As in, there was totally no signs of damage. Maybe it was quite sometime back, most of the restorations have been completed.
I so regret I didn't bring my camera up when I did the parasailing. The view was ahhhhhhh, too great to be describe by words. The wind, the view you see.
Oh yes, I must bitch about this incident. Though there are some ang mohs that are very friendly, there is this particularly idiot that we met on the last day of our trip. We were walking along the road where there was this ang moh riding a bike. I guess he needed some directions or something, so he stopped. At this moment, we were passing him, and there was another ang moh walking pass us in another direction. So that ang moh in bike, he said "excuse me, do you speak english" to the ang moh instead of us, and we were closer to him. The first thing I thought of was, do I look local? Do I look like I don't speak English? Argh, racist.
On the contrary, the night where we went to watch world cup finals, outside the pub we were at there was this man doing face painting of the country u supporting. So Caiting and me went to paint. So we ask how much it cost, the person say up to you. Then while I was waiting for Caiting, this angmoh came and ask how much it cost. This person say, 50 baht. I was taken aback, haA~, yes, "carrot head" as what the chinese will call. No questions ask by the angmoh, he just say okay. Anyway, he was one of the friendly angmoh that talk to me. haA~.
The shopping in Phuket is not as great as Bangkok. Not much things to buy. But the night market seems very exciting, which unfortunately I was too sick to take a look.
In the angmoh paradise, where they are treated as money trees, it is really a different experience. When I have the time I will go there for a longer period of time, go to different beaches and stop by Krabi.
